Luke aka L.J.P. Music

I think my favorite aspect of Luke’s aka L.J.P. music is one that I am quite unqualified to speak on and that is the killer guitar riffs. The guitar in all his songs is just magnificent, it sounds so polished and hearkens back to the 60's and 70’s classic rock era which I have always had a passion for.

As I was making my way through Luke’s Spotify library I was particularly drawn to the Dirt Road Blues EP. I enjoyed how raw and real it felt, just this genuine outpouring of emotions with nothing to hide. “Love Kill” is probably my top track if I had to pick just one; it has this particularly haunting, soul stirring intro that builds into some absolutely outstanding guitar. I enjoy the vulnerability that exists within the lyrics as well. I feel there is much more to unpack than what is being said. This seemed to be the case with all the tracks as I listened to them. I feel that there is almost just as much of a need to pay attention to what isn’t being said as there is to what is being said. There was much that thought about and discovered as I listened; I found it to be an inspiring and enjoyable experience.

I have enjoyed watching Luke stream on Twitch this past month. He's got a great presence; my impression is that he is a very sensible and knowledgeable human. He creates some magnificently psychedelic loops and I am consistently impressed with what he is able to do. I am anxious to see what he comes up with in the days to come. I would highly recommend you take a listen to his music and catch a live stream; said streams will be resuming in about a week’s time.
